Well, I think you give us some idea, by responding to my comment with class and graciousness, complimenting me several times. While I'm not sure I deserve such compliments, I am incredibly grateful for them.

As to my original comment, what can I say? You hit some major buttons, and of course, it was 4 AM. On the other hand, I think the result- your clarification of your feelings about commercial Broadway theatre- is fascinating. I completely understand your feelings, and I think you get at something much more powerful and interesting than what I initially understood you to be saying (the whole "Broadway is mindless fluff" argument.)

That said, I don't think we are in such different worlds, or at least, I think our worlds intersect more than my initial "Respect Broadway" comment might imply. If nothing else, I saw Viral, and was very glad I did- I don't know that "enjoyed" is the right word, given the subject matter, but it was definitely a piece I will not soon forget. Congratulations on producing such an intense, affecting piece of theatre.
